“Let Kindness Calm An Angry Situation.”

My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. James 1:19-20.

Have you found anger and impatience being expressed more often? I believe one root cause is all the situations beyond our control. When you are the target of someone’s inconsideration or angry words, pray for God to give you the ability to react in a way pleasing to Him. Going the extra mile to show kindness towards others should be a priority as so many are hurting. When a smile, understanding, appreciation, gratitude are exchanged for angry words, disrespect, and an ugly disposition, you will witness the beginning of real change.

Look to our Saviour Jesus Christ, for guidance to show the world His love for all.

Fear Vs. Faith

I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.

Psalm 34:4

Does your morning begin with the fear of what the day may bring? Do you think this fear will comfort, protect or change the outcome? Let us add some worry to the equation and you have created the opportunity for the loss of the pleasures of the day. Most of us will experience the climbing of an emotional mountain, just to slip and fall back down on a routine basis. Putting your faith in God will create a soft landing through His strength, guidance, and protection.

Try putting on the armor of God through morning prayer, reading of scriptures, and believing how powerful God’s love is for you.

Happy Easter!

THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.

PROVERBS 25:11

Your words can escalate an argument or can calm an angry situation. Do you find yourself speaking without thinking first?

Have you tried asking God, to guide, guard, and direct your actions and words?

Words spoken in anger, spite, ridicule can cause irreparable damage, that can be difficult to repair.

Words spoken with kindness, compassion and respect (fitly spoken) can open opportunities, hearts and make positive changes.

Don’t Be Afraid; Just Believe

Don't Be Afraid

There are so many opportunities for us to worry or be afraid each day.

Do you pray and accept that God takes care of those that believe?  Do you worry, decide to you are more powerful than God or don’t pray since you think God hasn’t answered your prayers before?

You don’t have to carry your troubles alone, causing yourself so much anxiety.  God already knows what you need and will answer your prayers accordingly.  It sometimes is beyond our comprehension as humans, to understand the WHY and the big picture of our lives.  We trust and have faith that our God will guide us, because He does know the WHY and our future.

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.  But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.  James 1: 5-6

Shine A Positive Light!

Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness. JAMES 3:18

What do your actions say about you? Are you observed as a kind-hearted, understanding and compassionate child of God? Are you observed as a gossiping, hurtful and unkind child of God? We are all God’s children no matter which path you choose to follow.

Do not pass up any opportunity to encourage the acceptance of God and His Son who died on the cross to save us from our sins. God is so glorified when you ask to pray for someone and you are the first to have ever offered.

Make this a brighter day!

SURVIVING WITH JESUS

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. ISAIAH 41:10Blue Cross on Stone

Did you receive upsetting news today?  Did you remember you have Jesus, to pray to or maybe you decided to handle it all by yourself?  He is just waiting for you to ask for help.  Do not be afraid to fall on your knees and ask forgiveness, strength, protection, and help.  You are not alone.  Praise God for His mercy, lifting of your burdens and for being our Loving Heavenly Father.

“Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”  DEUTERONOMY 31:6

YOU ARE STRONGER WITH GOD!

Stronger With God Pic

I have noticed the ones of my family and friends who are praying and asking for prayers, are becoming increasingly more at peace. Do they still have medical, emotional, financial and numerous other troubles to deal with? Yes, they do? So where is this sense of peace coming from? It is in the power of prayer, it is relying on God and believing in Him!

You will find how much stronger you are when you depend on God’s strength, rather than your own. You are not alone! God is waiting for you to call on His name.

You Are Not Alone!

For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.  ISAIAH 41:13

I recently have had several requests for me to pray for illness, loneliness, work-related stress, death and other trials we all face.  How wonderful it feels when I receive the news that God has answered so many prayers!  It is not always the answer they were expecting, but the one God knew was best for them.

I wonder if God will ask us on judgement day, why we prayed to him and then wasted our precious gift of life worrying?  When you put it in that perspective, I believe we can be more conscious of our faith and believing in God, rather than trying to be in control.

We are not alone!  God is with us every step of the way!  Try praying today and then let go and let God shine His light on you.
